Monday On A Tuesday

Yep. Sometimes the days just get away. Actually, I was on the road yesterday. I left Texas (Austin, generally, Dripping Springs, actually) at about 4am local time and drove 14 hours to get home. This is what you do when you miss your family, I guess.

I was in Texas for the 2019 Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival (click for more info). It was an incredible weekend of showcase concerts featuring songwriters from across the country and around the world: represented were Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Washington, Florida, New York, Arizona and numerous other states.

As a performing songwriter I must say that this festival has become the highlight of my musical year. I've been fortunate to have been invited back several times, and the experience each year seems to build on the the year before. I've made lifelong friends - with fellow songwriters, festival attendees, venue owners and managers, songwriter hosts and photographers - for which I am most thankful. In the coming weeks I'll introduce you to a few of my friends, so that you can enjoy them too.

I urge you to check out this festival sometime, and any other of its type if you can. You'll be rewarded with intimate performances by incredible artists and experience a side of live music that is not often seen....

We here at the House Of Strays wish you a pleasant week. Please be kind to one another - we're all we've got.

Here's a tune from my third record It's A Rough World, Baby called "Big Old Bunch Of Your Love." I hope you enjoy....
